Alliance Manufacturing Extension Agent
Bill works directly with manufacturing companies providing needs assessment and team-based consulting on process improvement, finance, marketing, supply chain, workforce development and other operational issues in the 10-county region of Southwest Oklahoma. He represents the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance under the national Manufacturing Extension Partnership program. With over 30 years experience in manufacturing, commerce, government contracting and career technology, Bill has developed a sharp eye for how businesses get bound by operational inefficiencies and slowed growth – and how they can recover and become more strategically focused and successful organizations.
Prior to joining the Alliance, he worked as an Organizational Safety/Soft Skills Instructor for the Corporate Training Department at Great Plains Technology Center. He worked his way up at a small family-owned business and a large corporate business as a plant manager and business unit manager. He was an independent contractor and small business co-owner, Bill has proven his ability to turn organizations around to perform successfully in their markets.
Bill earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa. He has received professional training in all levels of Lean Enterprise, Foundations of Leadership, Transformation Coaching for Executives and Groups, Business Assessment, Internal Auditing and Total Quality Management. He holds certifications as an Achieve Global Trainer, OSHA 501 Trainer, and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Technician Level Trainer.
Current and past community service activities/memberships include: South Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board, Southwest Oklahoma Impact Coalition, Oklahoma Comprehensive Water Plan, Meers Volunteer Fire Department and Chamber of Commerce, Lawton-Fort Sill Metropolitan Area Certified Cities Project, City of Lawton Citizens Advisory Committee, Arts for All Festival Committee, Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra Society, Lawton Metropolitan Community Cultural Plan, Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, Kiwanis Club of Lawton, and Kids Zone.
